Newlyweds, actor Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul shared a series of dreamy pictures from their wedding in Khandala on Monday. The photos from the wedding ceremony show the bride and groom, clad in pale pink and ivory, respectively.

The location for the 70-people guest list was Athiya’s family farmhouse. The bride was draped in a subtle pink Anamika Khanna chikankari lehenga in silk with zardozi and jaali work. “We’ve used silks for her main outfit and we’ve also used silk organza for her veil and her dupatta,” Anamika told Vogue India. “The outfit is a labour of love. It took approximately 10000 hours to make.”
Championing the less-is-more trend, Athiya embraced the nude and minimal glam for her wedding day. The soft pink monochromatic makeup complemented her outfit. Subtle blush pink eyeshadow, nude-pink lips and eyelids lined with kohl completed her look. An everlasting classic for brides, the hair bun updo looked fuss-free and practical. The mane-parted bun lined with a maang tika added symmetry to a relaxed bohemian bun do.
Rahul, on the other hand, opted for an ivory sherwani and chikankari kurta. The printed jacket was paired with a matching shawl. Layered necklaces in kundan and emeralds added to the finishing touches.
Guests included Krishna Shroff, Diana Penty, Anushka Ranjan and husband Aditya Seal, and Anshula Kapoor. Cricketers Ishant Sharma, with wife Pratima, and Varun Aaron were also in attendance.
After the wedding, Athiya's father Suniel Shetty confirmed to the media stationed outside the venue that the pheras had ended. "I am now a father-in-law," he said, adding that a reception would likely be held after the IPL season. Suniel and his son Ahan Shetty distributed sweets to the media to celebrate the wedding.
Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul, who reportedly began dating in 2019, held pre-wedding events, including a sangeet, over the weekend. All were private affairs, like the wedding itself.
