KL Rahul Athiya Didnt Receive Gifts Worth Millions Clarifies Suniel Shettys Spokesperson 28217
Description: On January 23, lovebirds Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Suniel Shetty's Khandala house. Although the couple tried their best to keep their details private, speculations surrounding their lavish wedding presents are making the rounds on social media. Earlier it was reported that the Indian cricketer received the latest model BMW car from colleague Virat Kohli as a wedding gift, while MS Dhoni gave Rahul a Kawasaki Ninja Bike. Reportedly, Salman Khan also gifted the duo an Audi car. The gossip mill claimed that Suniel and Mana Shetty gifted a lavish apartment worth $500 million to their daughter and son-in-law. However, Times of India reports that Suniel's spokesperson has now come forward with a note that shuns the inaccurate information, calling it 'baseless'. "All the reports published are absolutely baseless and not true. We request the press fraternity to confirm details with us before publishing such incorrect information in the public domain," read the statement. Even though the newlyweds didn't receive extravagant gifts, their wedding attire certainly required a massive amount of labour. Speaking to Vogue India, designer Anamika Khanna revealed it took her 1000 hours to make Attiya's ensemble for her big day. “We’ve used silks for her main outfit and we’ve also used silk organza for her veil and her dupatta. The outfit is a labour of love. It took approximately 10000 hours to make," she said. Anamika further disclosed that the Hero actor kept her wedding apparel simple. She said, "I provided a few inputs on how she could drape the veil and dupatta. We kept it traditional and ethereal. Athiya is a soft bride and one that puts comfort first. So we needed to keep that in the wedding lehenga too." Have something to add to the story? Share it in the comments below.
