While it is no surprise that love for the cricketer’s performance holds no borders, some cricket enthusiasts from Pakistan have taken to a rather creative avenue to showcase their appreciation of the sportsman. In a recent video that went viral, a group of sand artists from the province of Balochistan took the time to carve out a detailed portrait of Kohli. In a tribute to the player’s brilliance, the group called Sachaan Sand Art, Gwadar are seen to be displaying a larger-than-life, rather detailed portrait from a bird’s eye view, depicting the sheer size of the art in question on a beach in the province.

An undeniable spectacle of appreciation without doubt, another artist from Balochistan had also reportedly created a similar portrait of the cricketing legend last year. As the portrait was signed by artist R.A. Gaddani, this too was a massively large display artwork with an aerial view of the piece

However, the sheer volume of admiration directed towards to the cricketer is no surprise, especially after a disappointing yet highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan this past Saturday. As fans eagerly awaited the day where the two rival cricketing-teams would go head to head in the Asia Cup 2023, an upsetting turn of events proclaimed the game having to be abandoned due to heavy rain, declaring the field unsuitable to play on.
