Samsung has released a list of supported devices for the new Android version – less than a month after the launch of Google's Pixel phones – and phone models receiving the new update along with a schedule for when it would be available for other devices.
Android 12 has exclusive design changes made for Google Pixel phones. The new version will give Samsung widgets rounded corners and incorporates a new design language. It also has dynamic colours, which pull colours from users' wallpapers and applies to them system accents and apps.
Additionally, Android 12 has a number of privacy enhancements and indicators that will show when the microphone and camera are in use, even in the background.
It will also allow users to share their inaccurate location with other apps, instead of a precise one. Privacy Dashboards in Settings let users see which apps are using sensitive permissions.
