    Description:

The incident has triggered sharp reactions online, with many calling out the behavior and urging people to respect the 83 year old legend’s personal space.

Multiple clips and photos surfaced across social media platforms capturing Amitabh inside a building as a massive crowd closed in around him.

His security team and local police officers were visibly struggling to clear a path as fans pushed forward to get closer.

Reacting to one of the videos shared on Instagram, a concerned fan commented, "Leave him alone, he is 83."

As the footage spread, social media users were quick to criticize the crowd’s conduct. One person wrote, "Why would you jump on him? He's an actor but also a human." Another comment read, "Don't do this, it is horrible. It's overwhelming."

Echoing similar sentiments, an Instagram user added, "Mobbing an elderly, even if he is an actor, isn't done. Let him be. Click pictures from a distance."

Amitabh is currently in Surat to attend the Indian Street Premier League Season 3, which kicks off on Friday at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium.

The ISPL is a month long celebration of high energy tennis ball T10 cricket and street cricket culture across India.

According to the league’s release, the opening match will see defending champions Majhi Mumbai face off against Srinagar Ke Veer.

Ahead of the match, spectators will witness a grand opening ceremony starting at 5 pm. Amitabh is the co owner of the Majhi Mumbai team alongside Neeti Agarwal.

Earlier on the same day, Amitabh was spotted at Kalina airport in Mumbai before flying out to Surat.

He was seen stepping out of his car and speaking urgently with a person from his team. Upon noticing the paparazzi, he briefly waved before moving on.

For the airport appearance, the actor was dressed in a black and white outfit.

On the work front, Amitabh was last seen in the Tamil language action drama Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions.

The film features an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Abhirami, and Ramesh Thilak.

The Surat incident has reignited conversations around celebrity safety, fan behavior, and the boundaries that should exist even when public figures appear in crowded spaces.
