Lahore District Court has ordered restoration of bank accounts of social media personality Saadur Rehman alias Dikki Bhai while also giving him specific permission to upload videos on YouTube channel.
During the hearing, the court made it clear that no discussion related to the pending case will be held on YouTube channel. According to the court, public discussion or comment on this matter will not be appropriate until the decision of the case.
The court was informed that the National Cybercrime Investigation Agency has objections to 27 videos on the channel. On this, the court directed that the said videos will not be deleted for the time being.
The court has also issued an order to summon NCCIA witnesses at the next hearing. The hearing could not be completed due to the absence of the prosecutor and the case was adjourned until March 11.
The case relates to the alleged promotion of a gambling app on social media, which is under investigation. The case will be further investigated in the light of further evidence and witness statements at the next hearing.
