Recently, the performance of both singers at the wedding of Faryal Talpur's daughter Ayesha Talpur has attracted a lot of attention on social media.
In this regard, senior anchor person Naeem Hanif made important revelations about the remuneration of famous singers in a conversation.
According to Naeem Hanif, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan charges about Rs 12.5 million for performing at a wedding ceremony in Pakistan and his fee increases in case of performance in another city, while this amount almost doubles for ceremonies abroad. It was said about Atif Aslam that he did not perform at weddings in the past, however, about seven years ago, Malik Riaz invited him to his grandson's wedding.
Initially, a fee of Rs 15 million was demanded, which was paid. After that, Atif Aslam started performing at weddings and now he charges around Rs 20 to 25 million per event.
According to Naeem Hanif, renowned Sufi singer Abida Parveen rarely performs at events, but if she does attend, her remuneration does not decrease and she charges around $60,000 to $70,000.
According to his estimate, a total of around Rs 70 million was spent on the singers’ performances alone at the aforementioned wedding, which reflects the fact that even a performance by Pakistan’s top singers is worth crores.
