The lasting impact of the alliance between the celebrated artists was evident, with Mehwish exuding warmth and appreciation for the Indian musician, labelling him a “genius.” In a video shared by blogger Irfanistan, the star said, “Basically, we had been having discussions about collaborating for a while now, and it has finally happened...We have recorded it in the studio, and it’s a fun song, very amazing.”

Remaining tight-lipped about anything else regarding the track, Mehwish hinted at wanting to blow her fans’ minds with the highly anticipated song after its video release. “I don’t want to give too much away,” she said. “We still have to shoot the video!” Cresting on a high working with her “favourite desi kalakaar”, Mehwish had nothing but words of praise for the rapper. “It was a wonderful experience collaborating with him,” she gushed. “He’s a genius. I’ve heard his other songs, and each song is insanely amazing.”
Hoping to wow her fans after ramping up their expectations over the past few weeks, Mehwish added, “I’m really looking forward to releasing this song so that you can also see how awesome this thing is that we have produced together. It was a great experience working with him. I learned so much from him.”
Last month, Mehwish announced on her Instagram handle that she would be collaborating with Honey Singh. The revelation led to fans all but assuming that the result of that collaboration will race to the top of the charts upon release. The two celebrated artists, each with their own separate fan base, had already been popping up on each other’s socials for some time.
Back in 2019, the rapper had wished Mehwish a happy birthday on Instagram handle, describing her as a “great singer and actor”. Meanwhile, in 2022, when a fan asked if she would ever collaborate with the Indian artist, Mehwish promptly passed the buck onto the man himself. With the duo finally having joined forces to produce what Mehwish promises is an “amazing” project, whether the song will topple records remains to be seen. Chart-topping success or not, Mehwish, at least, is confident that her teamwork with the esteemed rapper has been nothing short of spectacular.
