Rajab Butt And Nadeem Naniwala Challenge Travel Ban 75367
    Description:

The petitions were filed through counsels Barrister Qadeer Janjua and Ahad Khokhar, naming the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the interior secretary, and the authorities concerned as respondents.

The petitioners have requested the court to direct the departments concerned to remove their names from the travel restriction list.

Rajab Butt, in particular, has remained in the spotlight due to a series of legal controversies.

Most recently, he made headlines after allegedly being attacked by a group of lawyers at the Karachi City Courts.

The incident reportedly stemmed from allegations that Butt had made derogatory remarks about the legal fraternity.

An FIR was later registered on the complaint of Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq, describing the incident as a “brutal, unlawful and premeditated physical assault.”

Last month, a Karachi court adjourned proceedings in a blasphemy case against Rajab Butt until February 10.

Rajab Butt has faced multiple cases in recent years. In September 2025, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) booked him for allegedly promoting illegal online gambling applications on social media, including platforms such as Binomo, 1xBet, Bet365 and B9 Game.

The FIR claimed the apps defrauded users of their money and included links to videos allegedly featuring promotional content.

In March 2025, another case was registered against him under blasphemy provisions and the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) following controversy over his perfume brand named “295,” which allegedly sparked religious backlash.

Earlier, in December 2024, Rajab Butt was arrested for illegally keeping a lion cub and unlicensed weapons at his residence.

He later pleaded guilty to possessing an undocumented wild animal, stating that the cub had been received as a wedding gift.

Nadeem has also faced legal action, including an NCCIA case related to gambling promotions and a separate arrest in September 2025 for allegedly using a fake vehicle registration number.
