Jafri rose to prominence earlier this year with his hit singles “Main Rahun” and “Guzaarishein,” which together have garnered over 23 million streams since their release in April and May.
As Pakistan’s music scene continues to thrive in the digital era, platforms like Spotify are instrumental in spotlighting new talent and connecting local artists with global listeners.
“Samar Jafri is an exceptional young artist and a great way to wrap up RADAR Pakistan 2025,” said Rutaba Yaqub, Spotify’s Artist & Label Partnerships Manager for Pakistan and the UAE, in a statement released via Asiatic Public Relations.
“We’re thrilled to highlight his journey and share his music with an even wider audience.”
Over the past month, Jafri’s tracks have gained significant traction not only in Pakistan but also in Bangladesh, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the UAE. His strongest listener base remains within the 18 to 24 age group.
Expressing his excitement over the recognition, Jafri shared:
“I’ve been making music for over six years, but it took time and courage to start releasing original songs. Knowing that my music connects with so many people—especially on a platform like Spotify means everything.”
“Being part of Spotify RADAR is a dream come true. It’s definitely one of the highlights of my year, and there’s so much more I can’t wait to share.”
To celebrate his selection, Spotify will release a mini-documentary showcasing Jafri’s artistic journey, creative process, and the personal experiences that shaped his music.
Jafri follows Afusic, whose track “Pal Pal” earned him the RADAR Pakistan spotlight for Q3 2025.
