It is pertinent to mention that Syed Asim Munir visited Tehran to attend the final funeral rites of Iran's late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
After attending the funeral prayers of the Iran's martyred Supreme Leader in Tehran, he departed for home.
Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, along with senior civil and military officials, bade farewell to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
