Water Submerges Villages in Sujawal
Several villages in the katcha areas of Sujawal have also gone under water, forcing locals to flee and take refuge at safer locations.
According to reports, the Indus River was in medium flood at Kotri Barrage, with 364,000 cusecs of water rushing towards the Indus Delta.
Displaced families in Sujawal have appealed to the Sindh government for food supplies and other essential relief items.
Canal Breach in Bahawalpur
Meanwhile, in Taranda Muhammad Panah (Bahawalpur), a 10-foot-wide breach developed in the Jinpur Shams canal, submerging crops spread over hundreds of acres.
Despite timely reports, authorities failed to take action to repair the breach.
Residents have urged the deputy commissioner to intervene as suburban areas of Taranda Muhammad Panah remain submerged.
Roads Underwater for Two Weeks
For the past 15 days, the road linking Basti Noor Wala, Ghafoorabad, Hayat Machi, and nearby towns has been underwater, cutting off access and making it difficult for locals to return.
With no government assistance, residents are attempting to move back on their own.
They have also appealed to the Punjab government to construct a flyover on the inundated road to prevent such hardships in the future.
Flood causes widespread destruction in Liaquatpur
Just like in other parts of southern Punjab and Sindh, floods have also wreaked havoc in Liaquatpur near Rahim Yar Khan as people have been deprived of their homes, crops and all their belongings.
Flood leaves people in Alipur devastated
On the other hand, people in Alipur, who have now started returning to their homes, are saddened to see the scale of destruction the flood has caused to their homes and crops.
The natural calamity has deprived them of all their belongings.
People complain that the government has not taken sufficient steps for their rehabilitation.
They have appealed to the government to assist them in rebuilding their homes so that they could start their lives afresh.
People in Arifwala, Qabula look to govt for help
Similarly, flood has also wrecked the lives of the people in Arifwala and Qabula in central Punjab.

Meanwhile, the water levels in the River Indus at Guddu and Sukkur Barrages have dropped and the river is in low flood at both these places.
The water flow at Guddu Barrage has been recorded at 260,000 cusecs, while 261,000 cusecs at Sukkur Barrage.
