Sources said that the jets carried out an airstrike in Barmal district, after which the infrastructure of the alleged terrorists present there was severely damaged. However, these claims could not be confirmed by independent sources, nor could the final number of those killed or injured be revealed.
According to reports, after the operation in Paktika, the planes also attacked Khogyani district of Nangarhar province. In addition, Afghan media has also reported airstrikes in the Ghani Khel and Behsud areas, however, details about possible damages or casualties in these places are not yet clear.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that there is evidence of the involvement of the terrorist leadership and their facilitators in Afghanistan behind the attacks in an Imambargah in Islamabad, Bajaur and Bannu.
According to the Ministry of Information, the responsibility for these attacks was claimed by the Pakistani Taliban and their allies in Afghanistan, including Fitna al-Kharij.
The statement issued by the ministry said that Pakistan had solid intelligence information indicating that these attacks were carried out on the instructions of the leadership of terrorist groups in Afghanistan.
Officials say that Pakistan has repeatedly urged the Afghan interim government to take effective and verifiable measures to prevent its territory from being used by terrorist organizations and proxy elements, but there has been no significant progress in this regard.
The statement said that to ensure the safety of citizens, Pakistan successfully targeted seven terrorist camps and hideouts by taking intelligence-based action.
According to officials, these operations were limited to specific targets and were aimed at damaging alleged terrorist networks across the border.
The Ministry of Information said in its statement that Pakistan desires peace and stability in the region, however, the security of the Pakistani people is the top priority and there can be no compromise on this.
At the same time, the Afghan interim government was called upon to fulfill its responsibilities and prevent its territory from being used for terrorism against Pakistan.
Pakistan has also appealed to the international community to urge the Afghan Taliban government to ensure implementation of its obligations under the Doha Agreement so as to promote peace and security in the region and the world.
There has been no official response from the Afghan interim government to this statement and the alleged operations within its borders.
