Addressing at a press conference, Mushtaq named his party as Pakistan Rights Movement. He described the announcement as the beginning of a long political struggle focused on reform, justice, and constitutional rule.
He said the Pakistan Rights Movement will work strictly under the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan. According to him, the constitution already offers a complete framework for governance and Islamic principles. He stressed that the real issue lies in the failure to implement it properly.
Former senator Khan alleged that certain groups are preventing the country from moving forward under constitutional principles. He said such interference has damaged democratic institutions and weakened public confidence in the system.
He also outlined the social priorities of his new party. These include better access to education and healthcare for all citizens. He said economic reforms are necessary to reduce poverty and unemployment. Social justice and equal opportunities, he added, must guide national policies.
