During the operation, security forces engaged militants in a fierce exchange of fire, killing five terrorists. However, in desperation, the militants rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into one of the leading security vehicles.
Martyrs Identified
As a result of the attack:
Lieutenant Colonel Shehzada Gul Faraz (43, resident of Mansehra)
Sepoy Karamat Shah (28, resident of Peshawar)
embraced martyrdom. Officials stated that both officers were known for their bravery and frontline leadership.
Concerns Over Cross-Border Support
Authorities said the militants continue to use Afghan territory to carry out attacks inside Pakistan, even during the holy month of Ramadan. Pakistan has reiterated that those responsible for such cowardly acts will be pursued wherever they are.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies have reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating foreign-sponsored terrorism under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, vowing to continue operations with full intensity.
