    Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach
    The prime minister briefed the Iranian president on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation.

    He said that outreach is being carried out at multiple levels, including engagements with the United States, Gulf countries, and other Islamic nations. These efforts involve senior leadership, including the deputy prime minister and Syed Asim Munir.

    According to the prime minister, Pakistan’s peace initiative has received strong international backing, raising hopes for a collective path towards ending the conflict.

    Iran appreciates Pakistan’s role

    President Pezeshkian appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement and acknowledged its efforts to promote dialogue.

    He shared Iran’s perspective on the ongoing hostilities and stressed the importance of building trust to enable meaningful negotiations and mediation.

    The Iranian leader also praised Pakistan’s constructive and supportive role in pushing for regional stability.

    In response, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Iranian president and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating peace.

    He assured that Islamabad would continue playing a proactive and constructive role to help restore stability in the region through dialogue and cooperation.
